This is the 822/37 Type 1 & 2. Most guys use this system of naming as categorised by Jean Pierre Redeuilh. The main difference between the two if you look on the type one it has no rope between the eagles head and wing where on the type 2 it has. Also the eagles are slightly different between the two but for me the rope is the easiest to spot and remember.

This is the 155/40 Type 1 & 2. Most guys use this system of naming as categorised by Jean Pierre Redeuilh. On these the type one has the makers mark by the catch where the mark two has the makers mark under the prong bar.

This is the 822/38. Most guys use this system of naming as categorised by Jean Pierre Redeuilh. One has the large lettering and one has the small lettering. The third one has no rope at the rear between the catch and the makers mark.

This is the 155/43 Type 1 & 2. Most guys use this system of naming as categorised by Jean Pierre Redeuilh. On these two buckles as you can see the main difference is the catch.
