On the risk of spoiling the fun somewhat, the only actual misspelling the fakers made is that they used a capital "H" for "heißt". The rest is spelled correctly; this is merely a different and somewhat more ornate (and thus obviously incorrect) font than that found on genuine SS daggers.

Ah, okay. Must admit I didn't read that text! The thread's title had caught my eye and then I just kept staring at the blade.
Which brings me to wonder ...if these auction houses know what they really have ...and the buyer trusting in them ?
How they have the motto spelled in their description tells much in volumes.
Im curious of the winning bid ...and I guess its best that it is undisclosed which would add more levity to this dagger and the embarrassment of the buyer.

Larry the auction houses dont care now a days.
Catawiki for example state that they have 2 experts who examen the items, but in fact its just their commission.
Numerous times i emailed them about fakes on their list and they dont even answer or take it off the list.
My problem in this is that they pretend to have 2 experts so their goods would considered to be genuine but they arent.
They should write buy at your own risk.....
Money hungry fools they are.......
