Parts dagger
either the grip or crossguards were added to a near perfect grip ..which someone had a go at trying to take out the eagle.
I seen alot of bad daggers at this past Max show and if this one was on the table..i would leave it there and keep going.
Nothing attracting in this dagger that shows even patina.
BTW,,,where is the scabbard ?

Hi Dennis...you can also search here to within this SS dagger forum...within these threads ...a study will give you more than when you came in.
SS daggers mostly are very much in demand or SS anything !!.....and are also highly faked.
There are alot of great threads and forums within this wbsite with centuries of combined collector / researcher experience which are here at your finger tips.
Give a read through some of the threads here and use the internal search engine located at the upper right hand corner of each page .
If you find another dagger ..post it here is you have concerns.
