Re: SS Chained Type II with SS Number and initials on the Tang Nut
Gentleman, thanks for all the great input and comments on the dagger thus far. I hope the comments continue.
I have looked at the numbers as well as the initials under both a magnifying glass and a jewlers loop. They both look like they have been there for a long time and appear Third Reich Period done. The numbers and the initials both look to have been done with an engraving tool of some sort. The numbers are not stamped but hand done with the tool.
Regards to All.

Re: SS Chained Type II with SS Number and initials on the Tang Nut
Ross Kelbaugh has always done superb researching and his results are worth every cent spent. Well done on acquiring a Very nice chained 36 and personalized to an Early SS figure and a Gold Party Badge bearer as well. Nice job and great to see the results. (I see that he also participated in the Lebensborn program.....makes your skin crawl, thinking that somewhere out there, there might still be Descendants of this repellant person!)

Very nice indeed.
Re the Lebensborn connection. This was to show he contributed funds. Himmler ensured that almost every SS officer paid contributions to this programme.
Cheers, Ade.
