I started buying non-issued army dump knives(akm/ak-74 bayo's, glock field knives, gerber lmf, ASEK types etc) just to wait till i'm 80 and they were used in the great ukraine war, or the 3rd world war between muslim and the zen buhdists. the same goes for gear. if you buy a discarded officers knife(SAK), think about that it would be worth if you got it in the early 40's and decide to sell it now, still in depot condition.

I've seen so many great collectibles ground flat because they weren't worth a dime back then... Now they sell like their solid gold.
