Can't tell anything from these pics with any certainty.
Observations:
It seems like the blade has been over-cleaned which has affected the toning
in the inscription. No scabbard and the removed bird will affect the value
greatly. Crossguards are very bright, but this looks like a late dagger.
Much better pics required for any comments really, but it's possible that
because of condition, if it is good, it may be had for a very low price.
It would then be worth replacing the eagle - this was done on
another member's SS dagger not too long ago, and the
results were amazing.........!

Steve.
Great price - IF it is a good one !
Please post clearer detailed photos.........!
Regards,
Steve.
Yh im trying to get some now, i asked for one of the makers mark and close up on the handle,
Thanks, Glen
And of the blade and engraving too Glen please.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
yh ok mate, im glad it stands a chance as i could be getting this at a great price and the money i would be saving i could spend on refurbishing it.
Thanks, Glen
Hi Glenn, sorry it is bad in my opinion. The high spine to the blade is a very bad sign and I am sure the grip is plastic.
Cheers, Ade.

ah ok, well the seller has told me its a wooden grips and if you look closely at the pics you can see the wood grains.
Thanks, Glen
Another nail in the coffin is a RZM marked blade but the crossguards are certainly not plated zinc, which they should be for an RZM era dagger.
Cheers, Ade.
