Brother this is the Kind of Porn I like
Not as common Berlin district stamp III
Anodized scabbard in great condtion ..vertical hanger great crossgrain...all the bells and whistles .
I didnt have to break a sweat trying to find something wrong with it..because it just stands out as perfect. I just wish all daggers could be as easy as this.
Congrats brother.

Thanks Larry! Appreciate the review and nod. I love dagger porn too. It took me a good 2-3 hours today to photograph this and the SA by Muller and Schmidt. They are fun to look at and study all the details for sure. I had to pay a good sum for this one but it was worth the money. In the hobby sometimes you get what you pay for.

Rossi beautiful dagger. Wonder piece. They way it should be. Your photos are also wonderful on both daggers. It is so nice looking at great photos. Great pickups both of them.

It's not often that I see a Hammesfahr in this condition. Most have large flakes or chunks out of the grip.
You may want to reconsider removing the hanger to clean off the verdigris on the leather and upper scabbard fitting... it will discolor and pit the nickel and may already have done some damage. The tannins in the leather are reacting to the copper in the nickel. I periodically inspect the SS daggers I display with vertical hangers to make sure the verdigris does not appear and wipe off if necessary. The daggers not on display are stored with the hangers removed.

The leather on the hanger looks to be in good shape so I wouldn't worry about damaging it by periodically removing and replacing it. One word of caution though... any kind of leather conditioner (for example Lexol) applied to the hanger will only exacerbate the verdigris problem.

All my years I have always just left the leather be and applied no conditioner to it.

That 1934 marked hanger is a prize in itself and compliments that SS dagger in its production year.
For me it is a complete ensemble !
