The blade itself is a deep fake ...RZM number art work is all wrong.

A leather blade buffer on an SS dagger is often used to obfuscate a poor fit between blade shoulders and the crossguard. Not something to pursue.
Besides all of its other faults "In Hand" I suspect that you might be able to still smell new paint? Best Regards, Fred
