That's more the shape of a B1..like you posted in June. I think the one you've posted here is fake. The depth is wrong, never saw one blackened, and what's seen of the connecting links isn't correct.

Im thinking the pinned threads must have digital invisible text...as no one is seeing these invaluable resources pinned at the top of each sub forum .

You are right, Larry, about pinned topics. They are are mostly invisible to users and seen more as a nuisance to scroll past than as a valued resource. On GDC, I've pointed guys to them regularly.

I wonder if a single pinned topic per sub forum with links to pinned threads might be the answer.

That idea has been addressed ...but you answered the question for that idea itself...as it would be no different than the pinned threads because they would scroll right past it as well.

Goes to show who are the willing learners and those who are not.

I'm happy to see that's my question has shifted on utility of the pinned thread......Not useful to be sarcastic....
Of course i've read it Larry, I'm not a beginner too, but perhaps non specialist ....In this reference thread you've only 2 stamps..Is it the bible ?

If I ask this question about this picture provided of a B2 machine stamped runes (with nickel plated over steel chain) , that's because I wonder if a little variation can be considerate as a copy...That's all... (the ruptured angles of the runes are not at the same level as seen usually)

Hello Arnaud...I would call it more of constructive criticism than sarcasm..yet it can sound sarcastic.
This same link I most of posted 4 times over the last 2 months to a few others ...is meant as a general statement and not to sound personal.
Your not the first one I said it to and there will be many more reminders to other posters in the near future as well.

This website has become more of a web of authentication more than discussion and research in all areas of this hobby. It becomes disheartening and I put reminders out there ...the amount of knowledge and access to this knolwledge is all within the internal search engine.
We just want people to at least try ...you see it yourself..how many posters come through here asking only " Real or fake "...they could care less ....so with that after awhile yes ..sarasm does seem to creep in with the administration and the devout members here.

Have you found the link that I posted useful ?
The SS Proof mark is fake and is not the correct measured form the runes being unequal in length.

Types A and B1 runes were hand stamped ...Types B2 and C were machine stamped.

Your example has been hand stamped and is wrong as I had stated above.

    Regards Larry

Thank your Larry - That was exactily the answer expected "The SS Proof mark is fake and is not the correct measured form the runes being unequal in length."

This proof mark puzzled me and I've needed another advice...Perhaps my question has not been accurate enough too
