It's a home job upgrade to the standard M33.
Yes, and it is interesting seen anything like that

Looks like this Officer took the upper scabbard mount from his SA dagger and added it as a center ramp .
Also take note that the hangers may be Heer or some other ...by seeing the style of the clips and the little strap retainer sleeve.
I cant say for sure if it is Heer but does resemble a style seen with many fabric hangers.
He must of been bullied by his SS Peers because of the scabbard fitting as a center ramp

I also think hangers may be a Heer.
Could it be if that dagger would be someking "photographer's prop" which he used for his customers to wear for the
photograph

I've seen some period pictures with this type of hangers.
Like skyline wrote, private upgrade.

Wiking Division was a late formed one, from 1940 up to 1945.
Most likely he got the promotion to wear the chained dagger but no chain available, so you make one yourself!
A promotion picture without a chained dagger would be a miss

I've seen not identifiable swords that were very likely put together (or at their direction) for use by photo studios. So why not some daggers? And especially since some daggers were not for sale via ordinary commercial channels. Best Regards, Fred
