Gentlemen, I would appreciate you thoughts on authenticity of my recently purchased SS helmet, which only has one sided decal. Once again, thank you in advance.

First good photos are a must to determine authenticity of any item and the pictures you Provided are not good pictures. Based on the photos provided and what I can see of the decal it’s not an authentic SS helmet.

maker markings , lot number (for an M42) , decal close ups!!!
All important for authenticating SS helmets.

That said, looks like a hkp shell with post war paint.

Looks like a Pocher wannabe fake decal. Pochers on M42's are a BIG RED FLAG unless they are on a reverse double decal SS helmet. That being said, everything said by the prior to responders is 1000% right. Try to get your money back. Jim G.
