Default Camo M40 SS - Too good to be true

Only pics available. Have not purchased. The “One Look” approach says no. Too many red flags popping out....
-starting with chicken wire, clean galvanized with some surface wear. Kinda clean and bright looking
-bottom ring wire is double strand. Unusual, have not seen on legit helmet
-connecting wires appear more rusted. Very bright orange. Too new.
-no surface wear on camo paint from chicken wire
-split pin shown has been added after paint job
-rune very clean. No damage or rubbing from chicken wire
-liner looks very dark. Uniform discoloration
-chin strap looks new in the area where it is looped and connected to liner
-stamped logo on chin strap looks new, painted and large
Overall impression is this is a fake. Correct me if I’m wrong.

    Many thanks,
    Von Ritt

Not so much too good to be true... more of a case of being too bad to be true

Yep, at very best a museum display piece when the subject is not the helmet but something like a vehicle etc is the actual subject and this is "window dressing".

More likely a deliberate attempt to deceive
