Hi all, I've read that there originally no M42 with SS signs produced. Is this information 100% save or is there a chance that a helmet with NS64 and 5361 has still that sign on the legt side?

As far as I'm aware you will not find a DD M42 SS, but can find SD M42 SS Helmets.
I have a very legitimate M42 with SS decals.....
So....yes. there are lots of m42 SS helmets.
So you have a photo of this helmet?

My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them

But its a round bottom fake applied to a helmet shell that has then been left in the weather to rust ( and its fresh orange rust too )

I will apologize and would like to correct my statement above after re-reading your original question. I think you were asking if there were any NS SS helmets. Correct?
As far as I know, ET/Ckl, Q and EF were the only accepted producers of SS helmets.
Some of the "decals" typically seen on NS helmets are known to be of the Champagne "style".
The helmet you posted above appears to be one of the ET style Champagne airbrushed fakes found typically on NS and SE helmets or as said a round bottom fake. I can not tell from the provided pictures, nor is my skill set at a level that I could say with certainty. Many others here can.
Ken Niewiarowicz new book "The Helmet Decals of the Third Reich" that has a whole chapter on these.
