Absolute junk, but flea markets are still a good source for original items, you only have to look on the forum to see that. I have had more than my share of absolute bargains over the years, one being a genuine single decal M40 being sold as a repro, and another was a 1914 dated regimentally marked '07 bayonet which cost me £45, and I recently sold on for £200. So keep looking on the flea markets, you never know what you might come across. But you have to know your stuff!

Thanks for the suggestion and I will try and get him active on this forum and for sure he would have saved himself money and heartache, he has been collecting all types of militaria over 40 odd years and he is now in his 70's and to be honest he wanted to cash in and get a few quid with this helmet but alas and unfortunately you neve stop learning
