Hi Chris, definately the round bottom fake decals! amazing how bad the helmet is rusted but decasl are completely intact, just discolored. Not one I would go after!
Joe
This looks like one to send to the dumpster for sure.
You are right ,the sad thing is this helmet is on a auction site and you know there will be a bit war.I see all the time collector spending big money for junk and just looking at it you know it is fake.I know it takes years to get good at this but some of those fake are just junk how can they not tell.
Luckily a pretty poor attempt by the faker !!

Hi,
It is a shame that the helmet shell is original and has had a lot of wear, but someone has painted over the rust and they fail to think the original paint would leave the metal showing and just paint over everything. It would be ok for a relic if taken back and remove that crap paint on it, but a relic it is.

I know who that seller is. He sells on ebay and has his own website. He buys relics off of auction sites and then JACKS the price up for his site. I've seen him buy items for $50 and then list them for $250. Maybe someone should contact him and let him know he has fakes.
