Hi Paul , i asked the seller if he had any history on it, he told me he found it many years ago along with some kind of pistol that was missing its grips when he moved into his house, he also told me that only this week a carpenter friend of his whilst working on an old house found a lot of german id tags and paperwork but the guys boss told him to leave it alone and then destroyed it all :-( rgds Dave
