Hi all, opinions please on the helmet decal.

When looking to add an SS helmet to your collection it is always wise to check the maker and also the lot nr if an M42. And of course seeing the complete helmet with liner.
This decal is fake.

Thanks for that, I'm new to collecting Helmets, can you enlighten me on what makes the decal fake or what I should look out for. I've uploaded a photo of the liner

First of all, a Pocher on an M42 is a big red flag. Then looking at the decal, Frank is right, it is a repro.

You have to learn the 4 possible rune designs and be able to match them to the right helmet factory.

Never be deterred to post photos online. You are the one to cough up the money so you are in charge.
Otherwise tell him to sell it on a public flea market :-)

If people get funny because you post their photos and item to be scrutinized then there's another red flag.
