Real Or Not? SS helmet

IF MORE RESEARCH WAS DONE AND THE DECAL FOUND TO BE GENUINE SS,I THINK ITS WORTH AT Least 650 uk £s.Ifthe decal isnt genuine ,the helmet certainly is and i would think 200 uk pounds is reasonable.the name on theback looks dodgy though,LV

Sorry but is a fake the name is post-war the decal is fake all made to look original to sell for more money and not well done.

I have to disagree.

The decal certainly appears to be an original SS ET decal that has the correct border size and toning you would expect to see that fakes almost never get right. Better pics of this are needed but I see nothing that says this decal is a postwar applied fake and it certainly passes the "5 second test" from these photos.

The name could also be period applied and also, defaced. Not unusual for SS items kept in Germany after the war ended.

I think the helmet it self is original, the liner also is good, however i dont know about the decal and the writing. but i like it anyway.
