SD SS ckl 66 lot # 2892

This is just a standard M42 SD SS combat helmet. It has what I believe to be a field repaired chin strap assembly that was on it when the collector friend from whom I acquired it bought it at a gun show about 30 years ago. Hope you like it. Jim G.

Buckle side of the strap looks like it is made from a pocketwatch fob strap.
The other piece might be homemade as there are too many
off-center holes in it !

nice helmet, the repairs look great, probably a quick eastern front fix, gotta love the lightning bolts.
