Re: SS german steel helmet
Hi, what you have is an original German M42 steel helmet which has been reissued to the Norwegian Army after WW2. They repainted it and added a new liner. The ink stamp on the liner is the head size, 58.
The outer has been repainted and decals are modern fakes.
"ET" is the maker, with the helmet shell size number. The other number is the batch number.
Cheers, Ade.

Re: SS german steel helmet
It's a very bad copy, not even the fake, because fakes made is something which could be recognized as a original. but this one has a very bad decals, even for reenactors. Fake liner, fake paint

Re: SS german steel helmet
The liner's ring looks like a pre 1940 year made. If you can clean the liner from a brown color- that will cost approx 150 USD, the shell is about 70 USD, the rivets approx 35 USD in repainted condition. Chinstrap looks like a fake
