SS helmet identification
Greetings i have had this helmet for some time and im sure it's nothing special but what puzzles me is the number code on the back, I'm unfamiliar with manufacture codes and the lot and i was hoping someone here could help solve the mystery.
I don't have the best eyes but i believe the 3 digit number to be 798 and the rear stamp to be R849 or R843 any help would be appreciated.
The 798 you are reading upside down, I believe it is Q64.
As for the rest, I will leave that to the others.
They just denote maker and size of the helmet , and generic steel number.
Thank you my blind self never would have caught that, quist esslingen manufacture so at least I know where it came from.
