Deschler M1/52 Cupal Totenkopf

My latest addition is this near pristine Deschler in cupal. It retains nearly all of it's original finish. The finish was surprising to me as I bought it based on poor washed out light box images.

I dragged out all my M1/52 variants for a group photo. I have four in aluminum , one in zinc and the rest are cupal. You can see the variety of finishes and patina on the skulls.

This one has been deemed as a repainted piece on the Wehrmacht Awards Forum.. When i first saw the photos, i was like.. This does not look like a repainted example, but i could be wrong.

Your new photos show a Deschler with original finish and crisp detailing in my opinion. Great piece!

Thank you Marten, I must admit I was skeptical at first when it arrived but once I was able to to take proper macro photographs I was convinced. It's hard to capture texture and finish on the shiny badges but with a lot of attempts I think I nailed it.
