A very attractive stickpin, hopefully a good one. I havent seen another like it, almost looks like a panzer collar tab.
I have never seen this model of skull before, but it stands a chance.. Unfortunately it is impossible to tell without having additional photos of the back side and close-ups.
I contacted the seller for more photos.
When I get it, I'll upload it here.

Hello.
I received these better pictures today.
I like the skull in self, aging, construction,
how the pin is attached to the skull looks correct for this time frame.
But, as always, when there is no solid evidence .....
Still, I believe this skull can have a place in a collection.
As allways, every opinion and comment is welcome.
Regards, Jannis.
Could this have started out as something other than a stickpin? 20mm is large for a stickpin but it's the same size as this type that has been floating around for decades. I own one and it is generally attributed to the Weimar era without solid evidence. I agree, I would be happy to add the skull you posted to my collection as well.
Regards, Al
I just picked up an interesting little traditions badge that looks very simillar to your stick pin Jannis. Its about the size of a panzer collar tab
Well possible Al, a possibility would be for collar tabs.
I've read the threads about your stickpin, but for me is a superb piece, if I find one I'll be happy to add one to my collection.
Regards, Jannis.
This is a difficult pin to authenticate. From all the stickpins and skulls, we collect together. I have found matching examples beyond my own collection. Is it by finding one on a period photo, An authentic cap or uniform piece or from other collectors. The way these pins for civilian use, or insignia for military use were made, is something we can check and verify. A single die stamp for such a piece never produces a different one. Except for the material used or the wear on the die that progresses and makes it slightly different, but it can always be traced back to the core details and construction.
This piece needs to be examined in hand and not by photos. It should also be purchased as being an oddity that could be good or bad... Maybe time will tell.

@Dan. I'm always open and up front, so don't take this as an offensive reply. The skull you show here looks like a cast piece and matches a known variant of panzer TK. It would be best to post it in a separate thread with more photos.

I agree with you 100%, you have exactly described the correct proceed.
For me it is also important to have the documedation discussion in the forum, so that future knowledge can be compared.
