Well said. I the early 20th century many persons and firms had a mania for abbreviations and short cuts as our Austrian friend points out. Look at the RZM tag with the Thueringen cap maker's abbreviation in this addendum. In this case, Witwe H.W. Bachmann in A-stadt, Thuerignen, A 1/15 or A2/15.....
