    Hi All,

Ive been coming on the forum for a while and enjoyed reading different forum posts. I’ve now joined up to show support and in the hope I can get some help to identify this skull.
Sorry as I know it’s not ss, but know there’s a lot of “skull” knowledgable people who may have thoughts.
    Thanks for any help.

    Paul.

Yes, that's a wonderful variant that's been discussed here on several threads. Here are mine along with some of the threads that discuss them in detail.

Thank you for the reply Aldo. And thanks for the examples and period photos. Some great skulls you have there!
Could you tell me where you think this could fit in collection wise? Would it be better off with my pre 1933 items?
    Thank you again

    Paul.

Hello Paul, pre 1933 makes sense to me. You can see one documented example of the skull being worn on the collar of the Stahlelmbund member during the Weimar period and a few examples on early SS caps. It is definitely one of my favorite early skulls, you're lucky to have found it.

It is the third variant of this type that I see.
The OP skull has 12 teeth like my skull, instant 8 teeth like Aldo's, but the nose shape is like Aldo's skull, and different than mine.
So there are three different stamps.
By the way,Paul we bought our skuls from the same sellers.
    Regards, Jannis.

Thank you for the help Aldo. These type do look the most “realistic” of the danziger types I think.
Glad I took a chance on it now!

Thanks for showing the 3 types Jannis, interesting to see. You have a good eye as well! With the skull nose shape and noticing the same background! Lol.
