Any idea as to whether this is a blatant fake or not please? Are there any dead giveaways such as the thread or backing?

There are not clear givaways to point out. But the I personally do not like anything about it.
Do not like the buckram, the black cloth how it's fixed on the back. Also I do not like the twisted silver piping.
