Arm sheild good?

Hello,

I am planing on buying this arm sheild of a freind who has been collecting since the 70s, hes knows hes fakes very well and is a very honost collector. He told me this arm sheld was questionable, what do yuo guys think?

I think "questionable" sums it up pretty well, it is not one I would wish to buy for my collection.

I would stick to buying a so called "Dachau" pattern sheild. Named by collectors after those found in quantity in the clothing stores at the camp in 1945 by the liberating American GI's.

The one illustrated is not of a style I have seen before? The overall construction, materials, etc does not do it for me. Compare it to those seen in use by the unit. There are many slightly different styles to be seen.

Yes, he is a very honest man, he collects Heer manly and doesn't really have a big interest in SS.
