Color piping on shoulder boards - Waffenfarbe
Hi everyone!
I have a question about the shoulder boards below:
I read that's a recon shoulder board. But the brown was only used for recon in the Heer, am I right?
So can it be concentration guards shoulder boards?
I found many different documents showing "waffenfarbe" but they have many differences between them and a lot of mistakes...
Thank you for your answers!

As far as I'm aware, the Waffen SS used the same colors as the Heer, so this is indeed either Recon or KZ Personnel...I can't tell if yours is Kupferbraun/Copperbrown or Hellbraun/Light Brown...I look forward to the opinions of our knowledgeable SS Collectors...
cheers, Glenn

Thank you for your answer!
But I could see that there's some differences between Heer and SS. Some aren't in use in the SS.
And on some documents, I could see different shades of brown, and on others only one.
So I'm a bit lost...

Anyone else?
I found a document which for me is correct:
----> Waffenfarbe Guide <----
As you can see there's only one shade of brown. And three shades of blue but only two used in the SS.
The green colour is ok too. In some documents there's three shades of green. Even a "Poison green" for SD.... But SD used the Police green colour.
Here's some wrong documents for me:
----> Corps colours (Waffen-SS) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia <---- With the "poison green", no smoke troops, and other mistakes.
----> http://www.cimilitaria.com/Graphics%...fenfarbe_a.jpg <---- With wrong orange (military police?), three shades of green, etc...
For me, only the first document is correct.
Anyone agree?

Thank you CBH!
So the Wikipedia document is right? Even there's no smoke troops?
