One-of-a-kind Model 1935 earth grey service blouse for an Oberscharfuhrer from SS-Regiment Deutschland, the only known untouched and completely original example known, this garment was brought home by a U.S. veteran, it is prominently featured on pages 114-123 of Uniforms of the Waffen-SS, Vol. 1, by Michael Beaver, garment is made entirely of high quality earth grey colored wool and has lining components, pocket bags and bandage pocket bag of light olive colored ribbed cotton, having two upper pleated patch pockets and two lower slash pockets, the collar, which is pressed open has a closure tab and button positioned underneath, there is a brass hook and eye at the throat, there are four belt hook support positions with three holes each, the inner waist has drawstring tunnels and taupe colored tie tapes having an HBT weave, each internal pocket bag has a medium sized inverted brass hook, the backed earth grey painted subtly pebbled metal buttons are marked SS RZM, the adjustable cuff closure buttons are of tan colored plastic, a brown '36 dated oil cloth RZM tag is machine sewn to the rear of the left inner lower pocket bag, there is a black woven SS RZM tag with '35 date machine sewn to the left upper internal breast lining panel, the upper rear shoulder panel is stamped in black ink with the numerals 48, the collar's lower edge, the collar patches and the sewn in shoulder straps are piped in black and metallic silver twisted cord, the diameter of the collar and shoulder strap piping is slightly wider than the collar tab piping, the machine embroidered SS1 runic and rank collar patches are hand sewn, the rank tab has a single metallic silver with black bar rank stripe and one aluminum rank pip with brass prongs which penetrate the collar, each sewn in black wool shoulder strap has a large gothic D machine embroidered is silver grey thread, the right upper arm has a black and silver metallic Alter Kämpfer chevron sewn to a black base and then hand applied, the left upper arm has a hand applied early pattern machine embroidered on black wool SS sleeve eagle, the left lower sleeve has an RZM pattern machine embroidered Gothic pattern enlisted Deutschland sleeveband, it was carefully applied by hand stitching, the right upper pocket contains a bakelite whistle attached to one of the front closure buttons with a plaited cord, the garment was worn sparingly and exhibits only minor wear, however, there is some minor moth damage with a few holes to the lower right waist and hem plus a few scattered pinhead sized moth holes to the sleeves, otherwise very clean, please inquire to info@virtualgrenadier.com for additional information, please inquire to info@virtualgrenadier.com for pricing information

If that is not enough to arouse your collector's drive, the Obersturmbannfuehrer of the SSVT "D" 1 is also in the Beaver book.
What makes it interesting is that it an issue kind of tunic, without the VA stamp, but of trikotage versus Kommisstuch.
It also has the 1936 sort of brown RZM tag, with the VA contract tag. There the numbers diverge...go figure.
I think the earth brown item must have been had via a different contract with different funds, but what do I know?
The SSVT had multiple budget sources.

The rank of Obersturmbannfuehrer in the SSVT and in SS "D" 1 etc. is sufficiently researched that, if one got all the Stammrollenkarten, etc.
one could determine the person. Size 46 is quite small as a size, granted that these person had to be soldierly in physique and carriage.
But I leave that to someone else.
