Fake or Real? - SS Collar Tabs

Hello!

I recently bought a pair of (what seems to be) SS officer collar tabs. Although, there has been a bit of debate whether they're real or fake - people say different things - and judging by myself, the stitching and general construction of the tabs is questionable. Although, there is some indication of aging on the tabs, as well as the backing appears to have been replaced. There are also four small holes on the back of the blank tab indicating there could've been pips. I paid a lot for these, could someone please help me out?

These are fake collars, the ruins are poorly shaped and spaced, the backing looks totally wrong, as is the piping.
I'd suggest you look at some older treads on the forum to see originals , it will help you know what to look for in the future.
You should try to get your money back. Welcome to the forum.

Friend these are obvious fakes of the worst quality.

Sorry to say that you spent a lot of money on these fakes. You should invest in some books and study original items here before buying. There are many here who will assist you prior to you spending hard earned money on fakes. Smitty
