Tunic I think is a Heer cut, not SS. Pics of the lining & stampings might help

Stiles has images on his site of what strikes me as a complete Feldbluse of wartime datum, but I am not going to post the images here. It is in "relic" condition, i.e. rather crapped out.

The Beaver books also are filled with images of authentic items of this kind.

One of our members here came into possession of a once over the moon, i.e. blue blood moon, etc. GI's souvenirs of the Waffen SS via the Egerland or the
vicinity of Pilsen of blessed memory. It was a hoard of insignia, and I cannot recall if there were any significant textiles.

Your chances of finding a combat item with intact SS insignia are very slim, indeed.

I do not write this just as a mean old man, which I am, nor do I embrace the wide spread idea that, in fact, there exist NO AUTHENTIC SS uniforms at all in
the 21st century, but you just have to be awfully skeptical about this particular item.

There are those who are expert in field blouses, and, I think, our colleague here who wrote the book is a person to whom I would turn.

    You tell me his name.

He wrote a fabulous book on the theme, i.e. army blouses which I happily own.
