Re: Help please. Pz SS leather jacket & pants
Hi Carfin, KM is not my "thing". But this is not the pattern of uniform worn by LAH & HJ.
Cheers, Ade.

Re: Help please. Pz SS leather jacket & pants
I believe that KM (if we are talking Kriegsmarine) guys usually wore the light grey leather sets? I am quite confused about this KM/SS thing though

I agree with the above. There is no shortage of visual evidence of the proper U boat Montur or of their use by SS armor troops.

Yes they did!
When Italy surrendered in 1943 stocks of Italian camouflage material was seized by the Germans as well as a large number of U-boat leathers (originally supplied to Italy by Germany) which were taken from naval depots. They seized a considerable number of these and issued them to tank crews of the panzer regiments of the 12th SS Panzer Division Hitlerjugend. They were very simple in design being waist length, single breasted fastened with five metal or plastic buttons with either a cropped or normal collar and adjustable cuff bands. They had a single breast pocket with a small flap and two front waist pockets and were lined as was the jacket with coarse woolen blanket material. The trousers were straight legged with two side pockets. Originally worn by U-boat mechanics they provided considerable protection from grease, dirt and burns.

Re: Help please. Pz SS leather jacket & pants
Hello,
I have had a jacket and pants in my collection a few years ago.
The pants looks ok but the jacket is not a KM style, looks like a Motorcycle one.
I never see this kind of stamps on KM clothes.
Regards
Nikolaus
