It is a new one to me too.

Its a first for me too, but I must say the band material, with its tiny checks, is unlike any copy I've ever seen. The backing material to the embroidery, as well as the embroidery itself, is believable. If its a copy, the person who made it would have been better off making an early LAH title, or something else. I honestly don't know what to make of it. There certainly were privately made Hitler Jugend cuff titles of various styles, and I wonder if this is one of them...
I defer to my most able and wise friend. If Arran thinks this has a chance, then so do I. I will send it to Delich.
If this item was made with the Wuerker method, then there must have been more than one, versus the normal cottage
industry, piece work one sees with SS insignia of an earlier epoch, i.e. the start of the 1930s.
I do not collect this late war material, so I am out of my depth.
Thank you guys for spending time on it
i hold it it my hands and its just feels right but on the other side i have never see one like this before
it may be early HJ cuff not SS
Very intresting item, never seen one too.
I look forward to hearing Mr Delich opinion on this item.
Hope it is an original.
Here is what my friend has to say.
" I'm with the balance of your other commentators in that I
have never seen this format for a cuff title in either SS or HJ.
The only bottom-line comment I could offer, is that IF this
band actually was obtained with Hilda's ID card, etc., I would
lend creedence to its originality. I agree also that it lends
itself to being more HJ than SS -- if it's era! The girl's family
could have had it custom-made for her, but that may be
speculating too far.
When I first saw it, my first glimpse conjured up an image
in my mind that I had seen something like it before, but don't
recall the source or whether the verbage was the same. At
the time, I was impressed with the workmanship and wondered
if I was viewing yet another unknown but possibly original variant.
Time will tell -- we'll have to let the future reveal the inevitable
truth to us."
