John passed away, RIP my friend.
got always nice talks with him at the Toledo shows.
Right now I am in MI and thought to take this time once
the offer and visit him.
Too late, strange you think about someone
and 3 days later it is to late.

I never had any dealings with John but I knew his name by reputation.
He was regarded very highly in the collecting community for his knowledge, willingness to help and his outstanding collection of rare pieces.
My condolences to his family and friends.

John was a superb contributor and teacher. I remember him from the 1970s, with always nice collectibles and a cheerful attitude. He will be missed!
Very sad news.
My condolences to his family and friends.

This is very sad news. I bought my first black ss visor from John before Christmas and he was so nice to chat with. He had great stories and a fantastic collection. I know he was having a hard time with his emphysema and will no longer be suffering. I am sure he was surrounded by many of his family and grandchildren. RIP John. You will be missed!
My God.....what a loss to the hobby!! Im stunned and saddened...... John was quite helpful in many ways to many people. An Unselfish person who would take the time to stop and speak to the little guy just starting out in the hobby. Peace be upon his family during this time. God Bless Him.

Very sad news and my condolences, as well, to his family. He played a constructive role while others did not.
