A fact which justifies showing such material so that the beginner can orient him or herself without the unneeded confusion that operates most every day.

Its a great collection, but looking at interior pics for the first time I'd say that the visor and sweatband are not original to the silk top cap...
I am quite partial to a/that silken

John Pepera SS headwear at Hermann HistoricaJohn Pepera SS headwear at Hermann HistoricaThis cap likely has had its Gehirnbremse switched, i.e. the earlier silver Alugespinst Kordel added from the later alu. Kordel. You see the Pepera treasures ca. 2005 or 2006 on the left, and the Mueller cap with the silver cord apparently from another cap.

All these caps, however, are quite real.

This cap is a 1939, Form IV model cap, in which one generally does not find the silver wire cord.

Such is found in earlier versions, ca. 1932-1934/5.

Thank you FB for your informative observation. I did not know John Pepera but I hope his family do well with this auction.

It is a minor point, and insignificant, other than the endless mischief that happens with these caps.
It is also very easy to restore to the alu Kordel,
I did not know him directly, but I also hope that the auction is a success since the material is top rate.
His edged weapon collection was phenomenal.
