Welcome to the SS forum!
For your first post, you have displayed an incredibly rare collar tab.

Thank you
I do not know if this still holds true today but when I obtained this set, it has a rank tab with it, it was believed to be the only loose set known The other two being on tunics. This was in the late 80's
Even if I must admit that tab seems to be of genuine manufacture, I have to remember that, at the present day, not even a single photo evidence has been produced to indicate that the "Karstdistel" tab was actually worn on the field: I have examined over 500 Karstjager pictures, with Muslims, Italians and Ukrainians SS volunteers pictured on them, but there's no trace at all of that tab in use.
There are a couple of vets witnesses but they are pretty confused and they speak about very limited cases.
Due to that I have to say that claiming the possess of a 100% original KJ tunic with original applied Karstdistel tab looks to me really unlikely.
Thanks for posting.
I will look into some of my old files and see if I can find the pics Dave Delich sent me of the tabs on tunics. It seems there was some other reference with it but it has been a long time and some of my reference was lost when my house was hit by a tornado. Also can always contact Dave.
My Kartstaeger collar tab was removed from a tunic.

Dear Sirs,
Would you be able to supply any photo evidence that indicates that that tab was actually worn on the field?
As far as I know there's no known pre-1945 picture of that tab in use: just some suggestions made from a supposed original WSS tabs map of 1944-45.
It would be very important for my researches.
Thanks.
Having seen one of these was special, seeing two is amazing.
Rare stuff here.
Greg
