Yes it's strange and this TK face right and not left as usual, but I've already seen this on the STONEMINT'S threads about SS visors here.

After the sentence about this TK, I'll show you the cap....

I think I remember seeing that one on an SS crusher with coloured piping in one of the old 1970s-80s books ??

Seems to be made from white celleon-style cord.

I have learned over the years that nothing is impossible - never say "never".

It could possibly be field-made.

However, it also looks a lot like the 'Monkey TK' type used in these fantasy SS panzer collar patches and dubious bullion TK patch.

Also - similar (not identical) film props were used in movies like 'Schindler's List' and 'Escape from Sobibor'.

Interesting to see the close up pics from those 2 films, I haven't seen Schindler's List for a while, but always thought the uniforms looked so good, will have to watch it again with a careful eye on the uniform detail !

Just for interest ....... here's a comparison with the only other SS-TK I've come across which is hand-made from a white celleon-type cord.

It has been discussed here before.

I've always considered it to be a 1970s copy.

However, there are various examples of Dutch and Italian wartime badges made from this type of cord.

Excellent memory and eyes

That's the very cap pictured in this book, coming from ex collection BOULANGER - a famous old collectionner now deceaded. This book was the first book in France on this subject

I was fortunate enough to buy the 2 visors of this same page, the PZ SS visor and artillery crusher made from a WW1 visor base - that's described on the book.
