the first pattern skull looks cast, but I could be wrong.
the second skull is as I previously mentioned an original Assmann skull with the nose and eyeholes wrongly cut out.
The prongs seemed to be intact tough
We need better pics of the buckle...

I find it hard to imagine that the skull with the misplaced holes would not have been rejected at the factory. The pins were hand-soldered and the worker must have seen how screwed up that piece was before attaching the pins. It would also have to have been a soldier with no pride in his appearance who would have worn that piece of insignia...or a real sense of humor!

Belive me or not I found this skulls in ground.
I dont wont sell it or make money on it
For me it is a piece of history.
My wife Granfather spend a long time in Auschwitz and in the end on WW 2 in Bergen Belsen.
He survived
We still have his Concencration Camp univorms.
