    Numerous red flags. Are you a beginning collector? If so, stay far away from SS items. A first set of red flags - others will chime in. The missing insignia indicated by the shadows caused by fake aging, the missing sweat shield, the incorrect chin cord.... You should hear from others who know this type of visor better than me. Neil

    Neil pointed out many flaws and I'd like to add that the material itself is wrong for this type of SS cap.

    Apart from the red flags already mentioned above, the trikot looks like that used by Janke. Also, the visor looks like plastic to me. I would run away from it!

    Where were these caps made for actually?
    Did they had a purpose in any kind of service or were they really just made to fool collectors/reënacting?

    Suppliers like Janke have made these things for collectors as cheap display pieces or for reenacting. And of course, some people buy them to modify them and then sell them as original, like we see here.
