Many thanks

Police? They sure look mint, I hope they are the real deal!
SD, they look good to me. I think I saw these for sale as well.
These are shoulder boards as worn by members of the SD as well as members of the Sipo authorized to wear the SD's uniform.
Rank is Hauptscharführer (SD) or Kriminaloberassistent / Kriminalkommissaranwärter (Sipo).
[In 1942, personnel of the SD/Sipo (whose rank insignia had first been of the A-SS and then of the W-SS style), were ordered to wear police-style rank insignia with shoulder boards constructed with "toxic green" branch color and black cords (enlisted/NCO) or black secondary underlay (officers below general ranks).]
I cannot comment on authenticity.
Thank you for that info Andreas

Thanks for the comparison
There is a question whether the tag should be an A or a D
Anyway they are a good price and I have bought them

That has always confused me as well. I've heard several stories when it comes to which letter should be present and why it is so. May be someone can comment further on that, I am quite interested myself.
Nice one Nick! Where are you going to hide these?
