I was trying to figure out exactly what unit this Oberleutnant und zugfuhrer was in. I can ready everything he wrote except those two items. Can anybody read his writing?

While I am not an order of battle person, one should note that the phrase here is 1st Lt. and platoon commander in the heavy armor Abteilung "Koenigstiger" in the Waffen SS. I imagine that the others here have a profound and complete knowledge of each tank, its crew, their dates of service and fate of same. There were not many such heavy armor sections of Koenigstiger in the Waffen SS, were there?

To repeat myself, I could read EVERTHING Herr Egger wrote except his signature (after the war ) and his unit (Konigtiger) Here is something else nice to look at.

Another nice photo , this is the command Panther of SS Untersturmfuhrer Neven du Mont Commander of 5 Kompanie, SS Panzer Regt 5 " Wiking ".

The photo was taken in July 1944 east of Warsaw when II aBT SS Panzer Regt 5 destroyed 107 Soviet tanks in one day 7/7/1944.

Neven du Mont was killed shortly afterwards , he was decapitated in his turret by an anti tank round,

Of course this photo is post war as is the writing , not sure whether Paul Egger who i corresponded with over a few years was a real Officer and a Gentlemen but he was fairly handy commanding a Tiger

Neven du Mont was a member of a very aristocratic German family and even in death he was disowned by them as a result of his service with the Waffen SS

The photo of Egger has RKY Will Fey with the binos as i said , the other Tank commander is SS Oberscharfuhrer Glagow.
