No original ever looked that way on the front or was marked that way on the reverse.
This faker knew a bit about TR insignia, in that he used a period Assmann "A" maker mark with a correct Assmann SS insignia contract number (155). However, Assmann never made a TK button like this one. The Assmann "A" was never used on any SS insignia and the 155/38 SS contract number/date belongs on one of Assmann's metal cap eagles, not a button.

I don't like this design but seems it's a good Assmann button... (pics credit to Mr R.LUMSDEN)

Brad, I have a nickle Assmann button that is made like all the known originals. I will dig it out and post it. I still do not know if it is original, but I don't see why Assmann would not have made them.
Either way, most collectors would dismiss them.
I do not like any of the buttons without the recessed crimped reverse.

Hi,
I have a SS button RZM 155/38. I noticed that the back of the button, connector part (not sure the exact wording) is different than the ones I have seen here. Any ideas if mine is fake? Thanks
