The roundel material seems to be the same as the one I posted but others seem to think it’s not right.

Tinhatman, I found the seller who you are communicating with and this exact armband. I understand you dont want to share it in the first place because other collectors reading the threads will jump at the item and snag it from under your nose.

HOWEVER

Without slandering anyone and getting banned or sued, a word of warning. I suggest you look up this guy's real name. He is infamous over at the red forum and his website is full with fake / artificially aged / frankenstein crap. The armband is several hundred EURO cheaper than 2024 market value, which should be a red flag for anyone (even though the roundel looks solid to my eyes). I don't know stamps but of the other guys say it is bad, I believe them. Just browsing through that webshop I do not get a good feeling. Images are at weird angles and mediocre quality. If you request extra images (if you receive them) you get via a link that expires in a few days. In a few minutes of browsing I see a few fake insignia and suspicious SS stuff. It is better to spend a bit more, get money back for life guarantee and purchase a textbook piece.

I just wanted to write in my previous post that I really don't like the cotton base, and neither do the stamps. The circle with the swastika would have been nice...That was my opinion, it looks a bit contrived, but that's just my opinion! Sorry...

The fake can also be recognized by the stamp. The font used does not correspond to the fonts that were commonly used in the TR era. The eagle also looks very strange.

On the PL band was some good detective work. I also +1 your thoughts about the stamp.
I would be hesitant with labelling every armband with a ribbed circle a red flag. If you check my post #10, you see all these SS brassards have the ribbed oval circle. Below is a close up of my own and the Ulrich pieces again for comparison.






I do not see any obvious differences in material.
