SS Ashtray help please

Hi Guys,

I have the chance to bid on this SS ashtray.
I know the rule is that if you don't collect SS items or don't know enough is to stay away.
But, I would like to at least own one SS item one day, but the prices are just too crazy and I just don't know enough.
Is this item authentic in your opinion?
This is the only picture I have of it so far, I have requested close up detailed photos.
Hopefully I will see them tomorrow.
If it is an authentic SS item, what would be it's true value?
You see prices that are over inflated and it warps what the true market value is.
This is the education I'm lacking and of course how to spot whats real and not.

I don't like it's chances. First thing I would ask for photos of any markings and research those to ascertain any relationship to German Third Reich era porcelain manufactures. That said, this type of SS 'exotica' is almost always a forgery. I would also be surprised if any SS members of the era would happily stub their cigarettes out on such a 'sacred' symbol.
