    Default SS Command Pennant Eagle?

Saw an older thread that says this may be an SS Command Pennant Eagle, mine is exactly the same. Looks like the same eagle that is featured in Angolia's "Cloth Insignia of the SS" on page 133.

I would agree that this is for a command flag and of the period.

The wing span determines if it is for a "Command Flag" these posted examples look rather small .

The difference is the dome shaped head...The original is a sleek and better shaped head.

The size would IMHO depend on the command level - here is the relatively small version ( 13 cm. flatwire ) on a lowly " Sturmbann " command pennant .
Having spent too much time outside of its protective cover , time has not been kind to it .
1st Sturmbann of 69th Standarte would have been located in Hagen ..
