Hi Shultz..welcome to the forum.
I would say they look really great with alot of detail but wait for more experienced opinions top solidify your recent find.
Something else to take into consideration is a fact that these ornate cuff links were made for more than just one particular high profile SS individual. It would be hard to pin it exactly to Lammers as sole owner.
We see this with many SS and Third Reich Related items. Hard to say who exactly had them..yet these cuff links with provenance will prove to be fruitful for you and the study for the collecting community here.
Wait for more qualified answers from the Collectors and Researchers here ...and be patient with the Christmas holiday season upon us.
If your looking to part with these ..then authentication must ensue before they can be placed into our classifieds here.
I dont doubt your story ..but procedures must be followed that protect you and the buyer.
Someone will be along shortly. Enjoy your stay and Merry Christmas
Yule Regards Larry

Otto Gahr was a silversmith who was responsible for many SS silvered articles ,,including the SS Honor ring.
The advert above state that the double runes on the cufflink is his makers mark..which is incorrect reporting by the article writer.
The Double runes is an SS Proof stamp also known as a "Kulturzeichen" which in definition,,.. was used to mark designs that had been commissioned and approved by the SS. The SS Runes can be seen on many non silver fittings also including fittings from SS daggers , Swords and also Porcelain Allach.
This marking did not come from Otto Gahr.
I would say at least that is an oversight in Johnstons research

very interesting indeed. So it's safe to say that these are authentic then...?

Something of an observation which I will not be judge and jury as I dont collect this type of adornments..which the Christmas Holiday has taken our Metal specialists and SS historians away from the forum.
Please be patient until they do return..but what Im seeing are 2 different SS Runes stampings and also a solder braising on the right cuff link.
Take notice also of the dated number fonts how they differ.
These cuff links both may be authentic ..but maybe never together from the beginning. Why are these dated 1940? Did Lammers just get them in 1940?
Let me be clear ..that I have said this in the past ...I would rather be proven wrong and find the truth ..then to be so proud and never admit the fact that I am wrong..so the floor is open to prove me wrong..which I dont mind at all.
Examine these cufflinks closely..I am also seeing a raised area on the right cuff link silver proof mark area..where it is stamped.
Does the one appear to be repaired at some point and added to the set?
Shultz...this is the part of the authentication process that hurts the most..and is a necessary surgery to dig out the truth and to make well. Some people dont like to hear this stuff because it may be written elsewhere in media writings. Some consider outside sources goldmines of truth which even those sources ate prone to mistakes as i have mentioned about the Kulturzeichen stamping that is not a maker logo.
I ask you to hang tight and wait after the Holiday festivities and let the true Metallurgic experts and SS Professors weigh in on these links.
We have to look deep into these things sometimes..because of the current market place flooded with junk and scams. We are here to protect and not tear down the individual.
You will have the best force of experts behind you here
Regards Larry
