Default SS Field Cap Red Trim Review

This came in a lot from a estate auction. It was hidden. I have no clue if its authentic. It says MCL Limoges and 58 which is French and I haven't seen any with the red trim so I am not hopeful but I just thought id get some extra eyes on it and some information. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Well, the SS trap insignia was hand sewn onto the back of the cap based on the piping. I think the insignia is fake also but I'll let others with a better eye for these weigh in on it. My guess, some type of French garrison cap or Police cap tinkered with to resemble an SS panzer cap of some sort.
