WWII German Reinhard Heydrich SS Marshallstab
I know WW2Sale is a shady place to buy from but is there any recorded time where a SS officer was awarded a baton as shown above?

I'm not going to say real, repo, or fantasy, but I highly doubt, and emphasize the doubt, that this item is authentic in any way.
Just noticed your user name, that must be the longest one in wrf history!!! Also, welcome, this forum has many members with a wealth of knowledge. I think you will enjoy it here.
Bob, since it is awarded to Heydrick, I didn't know if it would've been possible for a "special occasion", but as you said, the quality is lacking. By the way op, it would be much, much more than 2k if original: more like 50-75k.

As there were not any SS officers who held the rank of field marshall, the answer is easy. The quality of this piece is FAR below that of a genuine baton. If it was not so expensive, it might make a fancy instrument to mash potatos with. Welcome to the Forum!

LIFE'S LOSERS NEVER LEARN FROM THE ERROR OF THEIR WAYS.
If, by some strange miracle it Had been real, it certainly would go for a Wee bit more than $1,200 bucks....lol As Youth said above, if there ever had been a FM's baton for Heydrich(which, of course, he never Was to begin with..), it would quite likely be well over the 100K mark and almost certainly considerably more...and it Absolutely would Not have looked as hideously Ugly as this sad baton does!![]()

Here are the photographs from said Baton. If the item sells or the link dies, this thread will become useless for future researchers.
The scull itself speaks volumes.
Is it my eyes or does it say at the base "20 April 1946"
Oh...Nice! I was Just going to write the guy and make him a big offer on it, and Now everyone will be seeing it and wanting to grab it....
