Re: SS insignia, new arrival
Hi Dimas, all are good original items.
I really like the Galizien tab in particular.
The Horst Wessel cuff title is fine. This is a known pattern. I believe these were Dachau finds. Sometimes it is called "Bevo like" by collectors. But the exact maker is not known. Other unit titles come in this same weave pattern, such as "SS Feldgendarmerie", "Skanderbeg", etc.
Cheers, Ade.

The pattern is also seen on Prinz Eugen, Wiking and De Ruiter. It is my favorite weave of band. Great looking set of insignia.

Re: SS insignia, new arrival
Interesting, but I newer seen this kind of cufftitles from the Eastern front, probably late of 1944 issue? I prefer BeVo and RZM myself, due of Nordland Wiking and Nederland, Westland, De Ruiter, Langemark etc was fought in my area with that kind of cufftitles
I will make the closeup of 14 Div collartab, but a bit later, due of business these days.

Dimas

Re: SS insignia, new arrival
I really like the Dachau tabs. They are the only ones that I can recognize for sure.

Re: SS insignia, new arrival
Here is my question--was all that cloth insignia found at Dachau by GI's actually made at Dachau, or was it outsourced, and Dachau was merely a distribution center?

Re: SS insignia, new arrival
Hi Chris, I believe it was a distribution centre. As to if some insignia was made there, I don't know. Some, like the cuff titles, were certainly not.
Cheers, Ade.
