Hey guys here is a waffen SS pocket watch, I have a feeling that it is 4th reich. It has a baker light face and is made by Junghans. Its dated 1941 with 1006
What are you opinions and thanks a lot for your time!!!

even the skull seems to be laughing. shame the tk is on the back, as even as a fantasy piece it has quirky value to me{not that i would wear it on my suit} regards george w
4th reich maybe even 8th reich

Agreed - Junk............!
First thing I noticed was the modern belt-loop clip. The watch case appears
to be made of some type of cheap Chinese alloy and the face/dial will be
of plastic, not bakelite ( or enamel, which would be expected in
an old pocketwatch ! )
A photo of the movement inside would be an even greater way to
discern 'cheap modern' from 'original period'..............

Regards,
Steve.
Recently a similar watch to this came to my posession.
But there are some differences.
Most noticeable are the chain's end and the font of Junghans letters
Also to the following pictures I have the back of the watch with it's mechanism visible.
And the numbers that are engraved there are:
079463
3602
SU
and number 18 following by something that I am not able to understand.
If you need additional photos I am able to provide you with.
And my question is this:
Is this one also junk?

I am sorry to say that this piece is also a fantasy piece. There never was such a thing as a SS watch. I see that this is your first post here. Welcome to the Forum!

Could the last word be RUBIS, like 18 RUBIS?
Funky looking waches, I wonder who keeps coming up with things like this? What shall we fake today? Ah I know; lets make some SS watches and have a laugh!
The skull chains remind me of some bracelets Ive seen before. Could I be only the dail and back cover are fake, but the watch itself is in fact a good period item? I know old pocket watches are relatively cheap (never can undserstand why they are cheap to buy), and the fakers just printed the dail, or replaced it, and replaced the backcover with the swas-skull one, or is the complete item modern? Asking that because the watch looks good on the inside, and if its a 18 rubis it is in act a very good clockwork.
@BOB COLEMAN
Don't get me wrong! I didn't believed that this is an SS watch.
I thought it my be from the era, considering all the insignia...
And since those 2 watches have so much in common but considerable differences as well I chose not to open another topic, rather than use this one.
And thank you for your welcome!
@Feuerbach
I will try to take another picture in order for you to be able to see it better that part of watch.
But what you say adds up to the SU letters... Maybe mean Soviet Union.
And like yourself I don't know why someone put all the effort and trouble to take a soviet watch and masquerade it as nazi one...
Weird world out there!
Also I will upload a picture of the back section with the lid on.
But the previous owner seems like took his time and effort to erase any trace off the back lid.
As you will be able to see when I zoomed in with the camera at section after the number 18, the word Kamhen became visible.
This means the clock's origins are from Soviet Union, during 70s... Am I right?
Also the back lid has visible a flower... Something unlikely to met at a nazi pocket watch.
